Roughly 5-hour excursion to Lake Tres Chimbadas and a macaw clay lick in the Tambopata area, Madre de Dios region. Hotel pick-up and transfer to the starting point, with a boat leg and a hike of about 45 minutes along a trail through the ecotourism concession of the Infierno native community to the lake. On Lake Tres Chimbadas the circuit is done on a paddle catamaran to watch aquatic wildlife, birds and, frequently, the family of giant river otters that lives in the lagoon. The clay-lick visit takes place at dawn, when parrots, parakeets and macaws gather at the clay bank. Shared service with guide included.
